Respiratory protection
Respiratory protection is required when airborne chemicals exceed occupational exposure limits. There are two primary types of respirators:
Air-purifying respirators utilize filters or cartridges to eliminate pollutants. Different filters and cartridges are suitable for various categories of chemicals.
Supplied air respirators deliver clean air for inhalation. They are employed when the air lacks oxygen, is highly contaminated, or its condition is uncertain.
